With a name like Porcelain Throne, Savage Realm isn’t pretending his music is clean. He raps about garbage and bathroom humor on purpose; my job was to build a world that crowns that mess instead of hiding it.
I created a brick-by-brick visual system for the album and tour, then brought it to life with a Golden Throne fans could actually sit on, and merch and social that spread the legend of the “Porcelain Prince.”
Visual Identity
Every piece starts with one simple block: bold type stacked like bricks.
On its own it’s almost anti-design; repeated thousands of times it becomes a wall of noise, like graffiti layered in a venue bathroom.
The Golden Throne - a bathroom worth lining up for
A glittering porta-potty sits among porta-potty lane. Inside this Golden Throne is a tiny throne room with a chandelier, crown, and album playback. Fans get a minute on the throne, a photo, and a QR code to unlock a secret track; turning the grossest room in the venue into the one everyone wants to enter.
Fans line up for their one-minute audience with the Porcelain Prince.
